Prices include 21% VAT, which will be discounted if ordering from the Canary Islands or a country outside the EU. Bear in mind that there may be local taxes or customs tariffs applicable depending on the country. Our logistics partner can provide you with this information for each particular case. Forms of payment:
You can pay your order with credit card, bank transfer or PayPal

Credit card or Mastercard:
Card payments are done via ING Direct’s secure platform. Personal information is entered directly into the bank’s secure server, which guarantees maximum confidentiality during the transaction. Alegría Bikes receives only the confirmation from the bank, never your card’s information. Bear in mind that your card may not have the CES (secure online commerce) activated. If an operation is not accepted this could be the reason. Contact your bank to activate it (usually a very simple process).

Bank transfer:
If you choose bank transfer you will receive an account number when your order is confirmed. Send us an email with the proof of payment so we can process your order immediately. This form of payment may delay shipment a couple of days.

Available for all orders. When you confirm your purchase you will be redirected to your PayPal account so you can confirm the payment. Once this is done, we will obtain a notification and we can prepare your order. This is the quickest method.

Delivery times. Courier service SEUR, conditions.

Our logistics partner SEUR delivers Monday thru Friday (working days). Depending on destination we could, without prior notice, decide to use a different courier company. If you have not received your order in the estimated delivery time described when you made the purchase, you have the right to some compensation, as long as this is not due to a mistake on the part of Alegría Bikes.

Late deliveries will not be considered as such when due to absence, change in recipient’s address, unknown address or recipient, failure to pay fees or expenses, recipient on holiday, second attempt at delivery, or events of force majeure not attributable to SEUR.

SEUR will not be responsible of delays in deliveries to the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla when caused by reasons not attributable to SEUR (maritime transport or airlines). Claims for damages or missing parts in the shipment must be made within 7 days of delivery or at the moment of delivery on the delivery note if they are visible from the outside (8 days for Portugal and 10 days for international shipments). Merchandise will be delivered at the address designated by recipient, except if recipient is repeatedly absent or if the package –because of its size, weight or other characteristics- cannot be handled by one person. If this is the case, the merchandise will be delivered on front door or at SEUR main facilities in the city. If the recipient is absent, a note will be left with details of how to contact SEUR to arrange a second delivery.

The transport contract involves data transfer, in the terms specified in “artículo 11 de la Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal, 15/1999 (LOPD)” and “artículo 20.1 del Real Decreto 1720/2007 (RDLOPD)”. The data assignee declares that he has sought prior consent of the person concerned for the transfer of personal electronic information to SEUR so that the company can send electronic communications –short messages or emails- related to details of the delivery. This data transfer means SEUR is responsible for the strict observance of said law (LOPD) and regulations. SEUR must respect the obligation of professional secrecy, as expressed in “artículo 10 de la LOPD”, regarding personal information.

Shipment costs
Carriage Paid Spain Peninsula where specified for shipments over 50€. You can also see the detail of the cost of transport for each product in the description. For international shipments you will see the cost when filling your delivery information during the purchase process. Depending on location there may be additional costs.

The availability of each product is shown in the description on the website. If the product is currently stocked in our warehouse you will see  “24/48h”, meaning it can be shipped within 24/48 hours. If the product is on its way to the warehouse, you will see “Envío 10 días”, which means it will be shipped within 10 days. If you read “Próximamente” (coming soon), delivery could take more than 10 days. The last possible option is “Bajo Pedido” (special order) and means that confirmation by the customer is needed before shipment. Delivery times will be specified at a later date, because they are beyond our control. Please bear in mind that we work with exclusive manufacturers from many parts of the world. We try to keep product information updated, if this is not the case we would contact you before shipping the order.

Most bicycles will be delivered partly assembled. They come in a big cardboard box. Handlebar, saddle and pedals come in the same box but not assembled, to reduce size of packaging. The size of box is specified for each case.

It is usually a very simple process, but it must be properly done so the bicycle is ready for use. We recommend you read carefully our assembly and maintenance guide.

Order tracking
Our orders can be tracked with an issue number from the courier company.

All shipments are protected by an insurance. In case a product is lost we will cover the cost of the product or the shipment of a new product. When you receive your product, make sure you check that packaging is in perfect condition and that the number of packages you were supposed to receive is correct. Should you notice anything strange, write it down on the delivery note that the courier makes you sign. Specify any signs of mishandling the merchandise, wear or deterioration that you see, so you can later make the claim to the insurance company if necessary. Bear in mind that any such claim must be made within the 24 hours after receiving the goods. After 24 hours, neither the courier company nor Alegría Bikes can assume responsibilities for any incidents occurred during shipment and it will be the buyer who has to cover the costs or losses.

In case there has been a mistake on our part.

If the product is damaged, has defects or is the wrong product, you can either get your money back or ask for a new product to be sent again (the same product).  Alegría Bikes will cover the costs of handling and shipping. It is indispensable to include a photograph. You can request your money back in our returns/refunds form.

If you don’t like the product you have 10 days to return it. Sadly we would have to discount handling and shipment costs: 10€ in continental Spain for accessories and parts, 20€ for bicycles (for other regions, write us and find out). Use our returns/refund form so we can authorize the shipment and we will transfer you the money once we verify the product is in perfect condition and includes manuals, box and original packaging.

If what is being returned is a complete order, sent free of cost or if the partial refund causes it to go below 50€, shipment costs will have to be covered by buyer.

Cancelation of order by Alegría Bikes
Your order will be shipped, provided we have product in stock and/or the product is available from our providers. If the product were not available, either because suppliers have not provided the expected units, the product is temporarily or permanently discontinued or because several orders have been placed for the same product at the same time, we reserve the right to unilaterally cancel an order. If this were to happen, we would inform the client and if necessary we would suggest shipment of a product of similar characteristics. If products with similar characteristics were not available or if the client does not want this change, we would refund, where applicable, any payment already made.

Should there be any problems or incidents with a particular product, you should contact us indicating the number and information of the order. All products have a guarantee that starts the moment the product is purchased and covers any material and fabrication defects for a period of time which is detailed on the guarantee note that comes with the product. Providers and importers cover this type of incidence, in accordance with “Ley 22/94”. Alegría Bikes will not assume any responsibility if the manufacturer does not consider the guarantee for the product applicable.

Privacy policy:
Alegría Bikes protects your privacy. When you place an order, we need your name, a delivery address, an email and so on.  This information allows us to inform you about the status of your order. We will never provide this information to third parties. In compliance with personal data protection law “Ley Orgánica 15/1999” (13 December), the client can at any time exercise the right to access, rectify, cancel or oppose this data.

Litigation and liability
Alegría Bikes is not responsible for the for the consequences or damage to users or third parties as a result of inappropriate use of the products it sells or any part of this website. The conditions of sale must be interpreted and are governed by the relevant current Spanish law. Any disputes which may arise as a result in the application of these conditions must be settled by the courts of Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid (Madrid Region).
